The charming health resort city of Batumi is situated in the south-eastern part of the Black Sea coast and is one of the most-visited cities in Georgia in hot summer season, spring and autumn. Batumi is distinguished by warm, humid subtropical climate, extremely rich and diverse vegetation and awe-inspiring views of the sea coast and mountains.

The sea season is quite long in Batumi. You are welcome to visit starting from beginning of May till October to sunbathe and swim. Batumi Botanical Garden

Batumi Botanical Garden occupies area of 111 ha and is one of the largest botanical gardens of the former USSR. The garden is rich with 5, 000 species, varieties and forms from different climatic and landscape zones of the world.

Batumi Public Service Hall

This exceptional monument of contemporary architecture in Batumi was opened in 2011 and designed by Michelle de Lucchi.

6 May Park

This 134 year-old park, named after the day of Ajara revolution, is one of the oldest public parks in Georgia. It is a family-friendly park with a modern dolphinarium, aquarium, zoo, lake and carousels.

Holy Mother Virgin Nativity Cathedral

Virgin Nativity Neo-Gothic style Church was built at the end of the 19th century and is currently the main cathedral of the Batumi and Lazeti Dioceses.

Ali and Nino Monument

This seven meters high moving monument of a man and a woman symbolizes love, understanding and peace between nations.

To enjoy panoramic view of Batumi, the Black Sea and surrounding mountains we recommend you visit “Argo” cable way located on Anuria/Pheria Mountain. The cable way is 2.586 m. in length and it takes approximately 10 minutes to cover the one-way distance.
