Cool and cozy corner in Yerevan
Do you have places in foreign countries where you go to feel like at home? In Armenia, more precisely, in the capital city of Yerevan there is such a place called Aeon. While walking in the city center of Yerevan one could hardly pass by this place accidentally. Nevertheless, this is a place to find and visit to feel the mood, relax, be inspired and continue your way.
Do you know any cafe which is ready to host you with your own food and drinks and won’t charge you for drinking coffee as much as you want? We have discovered this magic venue for you! Yellow walls and cozy interior, unlimited coffee and tea, sweets, friendly staff and good music. This is a two-storey non-smoking cafe, which also has a smoking room for smoking Armenians and their guests. The atmosphere changes here during the day. During daytime, one can meet people with laptops who come here to work (or just pretend they are working) and to enjoy calm atmosphere. While in the evenings, it is a common thing to notice large group of youngsters sitting, chatting and laughing here. Still, basically “making noise” is not very welcomed at this place.
For every hour spent here you should pay 600 AMD ($1,5) during day time, while the evening rate is 1000 AMD ($2,5) for an hour. Staff is really very friendly here and is open to new ideas. You might even want to organize your own event here- its up to negotiations! Feel free to bring your own food and ask to heat it, or even order a delivery from elsewhere you prefer to Aeon.
There is also book exchange corner and also “stuff exchange” corner, where you can leave something you don’t need and take something that you liked. As the place is very hospitable for tourists to Armenia, you might find here things from all over the world. So, tourists may take some souvenirs from here and even make savings, huh?
This place might be a good option and very cheap option if you are striving for a cup of coffee or a glass of lemonade, or if you need to rest a little but don’t want to eat a lot. Its like a refreshing oasis in the middle of Yerevan.
